Having Faith

Faith is believing in something that you do not see yet

Faith manifests in many forms.

Faith is displayed in you when you kneel in front of your god and believing in him/her there though you might not have seen him/her yet.

Faith is displayed in you by believing that the love you lost would come back one day . In same form or maybe another.

Faith is displayed in you when everyone around ask you to give up but you hold on  to your dreams tightly till you see the light at the end of the tunnel

Faith is displayed  when your best friend tap you on your back and say ” I have faith in you , I know you can do it”

IT’S 2010!

1st Day of 2010 , Have you mapped ahead?

On the morning of  New Year’s Day , after crawling out of  my bed, I turn on my iphone and saw this Qoute on someone’s Yahoo messenger’s Nick.

Oh yeah , so how many people actually have mapped out the year ahead or made even New Year Resolutions on New Year’s day?
Hands up to those who make New Year Resolutions but realise that you did not keep them at the end of the year.
Me -**guiltily put my hands up**

However, I have come to realise that New Year Resolutions are thrown into the bin in your mind just after 1 month(or even a shorter period) after you made them is because of the below :

1. The resolutions that have been made are not quantified .
i.e  – I want to lose weight in 2010. Great that you wanna lose weight and want to have a more fabulous and healthy body in 2010. But wait , how much are you going to lose this year? Without a target that is quantifiable its hard for you to take necessary steps towards realisation of this New year Resolution. The effort needed to lose 5 Kg and 15 Kg is very different. Now , give the resolutions a figure.

2. Write down the resolutions and place it somewhere that you can see everyday
Some of us said their resolutions in a semi -sober state when the clocks strike 12 on New Year day. The next morning you wake up and you forgot about it. Or even better you woke up in the morning SOBER and said to your wife these are my New Year Resolutions!
But 1 month after that you can’t really recall what were those things you said to your wife because you are too caught up with coping with the stress that comes with the new projects in the new year. Moral of the story , Write down your resolutions and place it somewhere you can see so that you can constantly remind yourself what you wanna achieve this year and you would be more likely to keep those resolutions.

3.  Share your resolutions with people close to you
When you share the resolutions with the people close to you , you are making an acknowledgement and commitment that you are serious about making those resolutions come true . This would make you more committed to working the resolutions out. This would also enable your love ones to provide the necessary reminders and support when they see that you are slacking or on the verge of giving up. With their love and support , it would be easier for you to stick to what you have planned to do at the starting of the year

TIME TO GET YOUR PENS AND WRITE YOUR NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS NOW!

Was trying to find some pictures from my hard disk drive and accidentally stumbled upon my graduation picture. Super Nostaglic!

My lovely statistic gang

Yeah a picture with caption that I made many years ago.

” Let your your dreams take flight”

My dearie stats gang , 3 years on , I really hope that someone’s dream has already successfully taken flight into the sky.
As the saying goes ” Graduation is the start of a new journey” . So how’s your journey coming along?

Have you ever planned for a Holiday ? When you plan for a holiday do you fix your destination first before planning whether to take a bus , a plan or a ferry?

I guess most of you would answer ” Of course , I will fix the destination first! If not , how to plan?”

Isn’t it the same thing in LIFE , you have to fix your destination first before you know which direction and ways to take to reach the goal. If you don’t have the destination in mind , wouldn’t you be taking alot of unncessary routes ? As you walk aimlessly , you could even arrive at a destination that you don’t even like but realise that its too late to turn back.

So start now , think about the destination you want to arrive at.

May you start the new journey on the right foot and path. :)

Trying New Things

I tried a new cafe yesterday. I met my best fren’s GF and we really had a nice chat over a cup of tea at this really nice cafe at Palais Renaissance complete with Al Fresco dining seats. At the end of it I found a real nice place to chill out on a nice windy afternoon and its best to sit there with a book in your hand. The beauty of trying new things , you make discoveries!

P.S Cafe

Sometimes people procrastinate the longest time to do the things they know they need to do. The reason they procrastinate might because that they are afraid deep down of trying new things. But in fact action beats procrastination and it kicks the fear out of you.

I qoute what she said ” It really take balls to do what you have done. Quit your previous job and jump into this”
Many a times , I asked myself am I really that courageous? Not sure but maybe.

What i asked myself when I decided to quit my stable income job at a shipping company to jump into life coaching, I ask myself this question ” What is the worst thing that could happen to me ?”

My answer was ” I dig right deep into my savings till it runs dry and the business is not able to sustain . If that really happens ,worst scenario I just start all over again on a job hunt”  . I felt this was something i could deal with it and survive it.I just took the plunge into joining dbesLink.

Think about the things you have been wanting to try out , just ask youself ” If the worst is to happen , Can i handle it ?” . If your answer is a “YES” just take the plunge , your life could be an adventure before you realise. Adventures excite and interest people.

So evaluate now, what is that thing that have been tugging you at the back of your mind that you have been wanting to try?

Try it and you might discover a whole new adventure about life behind it.

Living the life you love

Living the life you love seems like a faraway dream to many people. However , in fact by having clarity in what you want and love the dream might not seem that far away

Success has  different definition to different people. Very often our society defines success in terms of monetary accomplishments , academic accomplishments , status accomplishments etc. However , a person will only be  truly happy if he has found success in his own terms and doing the things that he loves. You can be a stay home dad (remember Qi Er PaPa?) but you feel truly happy because you found success in raising amazing children and its something you truly love to do. Not the conventional definition of success by society but you are still happier than the person sitting next to you on the bus who has not really found out what he loves to do and the life he wants to lead.

So stop for a moment think , what you really love to do till you are 80.90 or 100 years old?

What is the life that you love to lead? What does success mean to you in your own terms?
